Everton sporting director, Marcel Brands has revealed the club are not planning any big moves for the January window.
The Toffees splurged last summer, bringing in Richarlison for almost £50 million and acquiring a trio of Barcelona players, Lucas Digne, Yerry Mina and Andres Gomes on loan and permanent deals.
Brands has stated they are only looking to hold on to their big name players this month, but could be forced into action if any player leaves.
“We don’t have big plans. It’s a very difficult period to bring players in,” said Brands at the club’s annual general meeting on Tuesday night.
“We don’t want to let our best players go, also other clubs don’t. I’m more focused on the summer window than the January window.”
He added: “If we sell or loan players, then maybe we have to do something, and if we do something, it has to be good.”
