Wstreams are best at live streaming concerts
The Wstreams team has been live broadcasting concerts and musical events since 2007. Wstreams’s founders all come from musical backgrounds – and have even work as professional musicians in some of Europe’s leading orchestras. We have delivered live streams for classical music organisations including the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Academy of Music (London), Manhattan School of Music (New York), Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Australian National Academy of Music. Wstreams can work with your existing technical and production staff at your venue or provide dedicated production staff. We project manage all aspects of your live stream, ensuring the best quality for your online viewers. Wstreams advocate broadcasting with hardware that combines multiple network connections, to make sure the live stream keeps running at high quality, even if individual networks drop out. Wstreams send your live stream to streaming servers and a content delivery network – meaning that potentially millions of people could watch the event without buffering. Wstreams offer additional features to maximise the potential of your live stream, including: Pay Per View, Video Advertising, Archiving, Online Q & A, Geo-Blocking and Domain Locking. We can create a customised event-page for your live broadcast, or assist you with embedding the live stream into your existing website.
How it works
Wstreams will work with you to determine the right number of cameras and camera operators for your event. We also discuss additional options for your live stream, such as live chat, twitter integration, Pay Per View and event pages. Our technicians will also assist in conducting a site inspection, to ensure that network connections will be sufficient for live streaming – and making sure everything runs smoothly on the day. Your live video broadcast will be sent from the venue to a customized streaming server and content delivery network. Wstreams transcode the stream into multiple bitrates and formats, to make sure that viewers on all devices can watch. As the live stream makes use of a content delivery network, it can be watched by potentially millions of simultaneous viewers.
On the day
Wstreams generally set up at least 2 hours prior to the commencement of your event. We will set up a camera – or cameras and video switching equipment – in suitable locations as discussed with you. Or, we will work with your existing production and technical team to make sure everything is set. The live stream will run at a 30-45 second delay, depending on where your viewers are watching from.Wstreams is able to insert video ads as well as run watermarks and titles throughout the course of the live stream.
Wstreams can continue hosting a recorded copy of your conference or lecture – which will generally be available within an hour or so of the stream finishing. This can be sold at the same – or different – PPV price, or included within the live stream purchase.
